When I was first introduced to computers in my school, I fell in love with the creation. But, the internet boom wasn’t there yet. Things were not even close to what we have today!
Computers — a product of many great human minds, the introduction was truly unbelievable. I tend to stay in the school even when all left; with keys to the computer lab, a carer and an explorer playing with tools carefully.
I was assured deeply inside my heart — if I was not capable, the school staff would have never allowed me to stay longer. The 2 miles journey which I would happily ride on my bicycle — a bit unusual but fit for ride.
The only rule from my parents policing an underage kid — school when the sun is out and home when it is going down. It is like a full working day and literally with permission of staying late at school or a second visit in the afternoon for any intrigued person.
The company is significant. I had a bag full of books, but none of them was friends. So that leaves me, my little dog, our school computer laboratory and my bicycle. The walks in the fields with my little dog(which I adopted from an early age), I quite vividly remember the conservation I used to have with the other being, no wonder the conversation will always revolve around human instructions to computers as emotions are translated when it escapes the mind.
As an academic, I can safely say that existing knowledge must exist for any new knowledge. The new knowledge being created helps the masses or some audience address their concerns, especially a value far greater than the commercial interest; then, growth is a natural path.
The deliberate intent of the creator decides the fate of any creations. Think big, trade far, fair and in an open society where you blossom like lavenders, leaving sent of assurance and value. Be a flower—a flower of value. Make a large garden of happiness and fullness.
When I see my little dog, in my distant memory, I would confess today that our relationship was greatly affected by my hobby of spending more time in the lab. It is tough to sustain relationships when you are intensely involved in a creative activity. I tend to get bored easily — hence why I would always challenge myself by understanding everything in and out of the machine. I would often take the faulty devices home, which the hardware engineers were unable to repair. For me, the only activity was to know the machine and its true potential.
Remember, excellency is an organic process. For example, when I embarked on my doctorate,
The first research question which I presented to data, was about emotions of the user.
The large datasets publicly available helped me in analysing data from a data doctor perspective, with the sole aim of the well-being of the user.
How can data sense emotions? Why there isn’t a good use of data. The data growth is breaking all records; I class all this colossal amount of data as junk. In fact, junk might not be an appropriate word; that’s why I named it — emotionless data.
Reaching 40 soon, I still do not know whether the long walks with my little dog would have been a better choice or staying long in the school lab. But I do know now that data can carry emotions if it is framed correctly.
I will put together a separate article on the subject of emotionless data.
The amount of time we consume on regular engagements, referred as habits and hobbies.
Data is in abundance, and consumption of content is on an unprecedented scale. As a result, people have become content consumers, not different to your movie box, such as Netflix.
The reasons social media website are flourishing due to the fact, user themselves feeding the system in an unprecedented scale of data creation.
Trust and data are like brother and sister. Simply because emotions are attached to it, emotions which are sentimental, no financial scale can convert sentiment into a currency.
The financial aspects were never there for a school kid. The focus always remains on walking rather than running. The latter is probably easier if the foundation is correct. Be prepared to fall, as walking in itself is not easy. My parents would say, falling is not criminal but not getting up is.
What I learnt, in a fair and open society, failure is not criminal, the bad exists because of the good, and the bad in itself could be a remedy to achieve the same kind of impact that goodwill always fail to address. The chain to correctness is unlimited; every minute, you can take a step to undo any of the bad’s you have done (falls) or add additional value to your continued good. Just don’t be quiet. Keep yourself busy with the good.
The internet boom had certainly kept me busy in my early days; I have become a publisher in a very niche sector, along with global audience websites; I was involved in founding local internet communities, meeting friends who are talking about the same thing — the internet.
1 take-away from my exposure to the internet boom is its endless potential. Remember, everyone is unique, just like everyone else. I must; every business is unique.
Standing in a busy square in Istanbul taking a photo of the Blue Mosque — a great Roman architecture left by the Byzantine Empire to the Ottomans. But, I must say, no matter how old, big or small a building is, it will always require repair for its very existence.
Listening with an open heart and focusing on ONE thing.
ONE thing is not your business. It is you. If you have not accepted yourself, how would people accept your brand? So please continue to fall, and fall miserably, but at least be aware of who you are! Don’t forget to be hopeful; no one knows what lies tomorrow because tomorrow is another day!
Once you have accepted yourself, then the rest is a hobby, a life which you will enjoy as if you are on a long walk in a countryside village, having an interesting conversation with your best friend — a dog.
The brand will shape itself around you — as your core ethics will always encourage you in offering more value irrespective of the fee or experience.
Looking back at my life — I can safely say that my affection for computers was solely emotional. The emotions were so powerful that I ended up doing a doctorate in data, which allowed me to work with many SME’s in the United Kingdom on data problems.
I must say that you can take away the following things from my quick sum-up of the 37 years journey.
- The open heart gives you the ability to listen and act but, most importantly impacting other lives positively— be a man of value—Trade fair, far and in an open and collective society.
- Fall and make new mistakes faster, do not beat the same bushes.
- Accept yourself, and don’t forget that everyone is as unique as everyone else. Be known.
- Have a bigger vision, and be consistent. Don’t be a politician, where you would require a reality check.
- Be systematic, productive in your strategy with consistent progress.
- Patience: Rome was not built in a day. Only God and you know what city are you building, so stay calm.
- You and your business need friends, make many of them and be positive contributors to fair trade. Impact many lives in an open society.
- Focus on ONE thing, Be prepared for the worst, important messages first; conquering the world have taken years to the greatest.
- Be a man where your balance sheet with your creator is in a very healthy status. But, don’t forget the underprivileged.
- Finally, don’t forget that the whole purpose of this article is ‘data.’
The reason I fell in love with computers. There are three fundamental elements (however, without going into technical detail) (i) Computing, (ii) Network and (iii) Storage.
If you closely review the architecture of the internet, it doesn’t hold any meaning in itself. That is one reason that no one owns the internet technically (even this is changing fast with space internet).
Everyone is an equal resident. The potential is endless. It all comes to the creative minds of the creators or visionaries. However, there are clear engagements on the infrastructure aspects from major players to make the free internet global.
Yes, Free, because they need your data. ☺
When it comes to trust, the big players do well, as people tend to trust banks rather than another person while putting their live savings. Trust is the mystery of our lives. The sceptical mind will always find every reason to dispute a statement or an alert. That’s why I have put listening with an open heart at the top of the list; if you say, I know all, then there is no need to know something new. Whatever the above could be argued, I would say that a well-informed person will always entertain a new thought. Still, acceptance will solely dependent on internal and unfelt instincts, which I call emotions.
Trust is not easy to decode, but it could be engineered to the needs of the community, and that is one reason, crypto-currency and blockchain driven projects are on the rise. Blockchain is challenging the fundamentals of trust factors through transparency and openness. I don’t particularly agree, with the trading practices around this technology. For me, it is a good ingredient helping my vision towards data and trust.
Trust and Data from a trade engagement perspective.
This article is not meant for an audience exploring statistical aspects of big data and the data overall. Instead, the fundamental purpose of this article is how we can emotionally connect with available data in understanding the emotions of our products and the trade ethics.
The data is available at such a scale that one can almost frame every aspect of an activity that occurs. Still, it does not address the questions around the emotionless data problem.
The benchmark for trust through history books, trade would happen between two new tribes in the first 30 minutes of the introduction. The feast, meal and other activities were not priorities to our predecessors.
The Internet has open doors for new trades. But has greatly failed in addressing trust factors or utilising the full potential of the soul, which I call ‘data’.
From a data scientist perspective, I have concluded that why on earth a transaction takes longer than 30 minutes?
Why the sales pitch are days long, with webinars and seminars? Long email threads, talking to a million leads for endless hours. But yet no fulfilment.
My answer to this is emotion-less brands. Think about the following questions and share your opinions on your say on our findings.
Emotionless Brands Questions with OPEN and ONE thing at a TIME mind. Remember, data can help with all this.
There are a million tools that are helping in bringing new clients and business. For argument sake, you have a million users. Once you have reached that milestone, ask yourself how much of the identity change you have applied or tried. For a modern-day entrepreneur, he or she would have tried millions of ideas but failed to make the same impact.
Remember, nothing wrong with the creation. No idea is worthless. Our anticipation make it a failure and a great success.
Be prepared to inspire millions; you might have the solution to the many problems the world faces, come out of the comfort zone and express your thoughts; the commentary is for the followers. You have to be an exemplary leader while being a man of value in inspiring generations to come.
Please remember that your creative mind’s potential is endless; you only require a data doctor to address your data problems clinically.
Because the famous Sun Tzu would say, Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy are the noise before defeat.
